Learning curve

I love Windows 7 but it has been giving me fits. Windows "was" taking a timout of 10-15 minutes after reboots before I could do anything, desktop was there but nothing would run. I would double click on Quicken so that when it's nap was over Quicken would open and make a noise so I would know when I could start working again. Also I could not get windows update or Windows to updates drivers for my graphics card! Windows Update always failed and manual installs never would take, they would be there but on reboot and nap no drivers updated. Finally I disabled Bit Defender tried to update the drivers again but still they did not update. One good thing came of that though I noticed that Windows no longer took a nap! Then I opened Device manager uninstalled the video card and on reboot Windows Update installed the new drivers and everything is running again! YIPPY!!
