Brand new SSD installed on my Laptop, what to do now?

Here's what I've done,

I removed my old HDD from my laptop. [ I will be buying a 2nd caddy and replace the CD/DVD drive later]
I put my SanDisk 256GB Ultra Plus SSD
Installed a clean Windows 7 OS onto Disk 0 Unallocated space. I didn't create a partition.
I finished downloading & installing Windows Updates.

What to do now?

I want to use my old HDD that I replaced with my SSD and use it as storage (Programs and Data).

I want to reduce writes to your SSD because I read that SSD's have limited amount of writes before they start to fail. How do I change the location of the System Temp folder, Internet Temp folder, and all the other folders from saving onto a SSD to a HDD?

How do I change the USER folder file (libraries, documents, music, pictures, videos) to my HDD?

Do I move the Program Files and Program Files (x86) to the HDD as well or create a new program files to separate which important programs to install on SSD and hdd?

Hello WindowsOP,

Today's SSDs will last just as long if not longer than HDDs.

I would recommend to leave all that on your SSD to maintain performance.

Plus, you risk corrupting Windows and/or your user profile when moving system folders like this if a mistake is made.

Can I move all my sub-folders in C:\Users\NAME to my HDD or the entire C:\Users\NAME ?

my documents, music, pictures, videos, saved games, searches, links, downloads, favorites, desktop, contacts, and app data folder.

The reason why I'm adding the replacing the cd/dvd drive with another hdd is to save all my documents, music, pictures, videos, etc to the HDD. Keep the SSD seperate for installing programs only and the main OS.

Doing this, will corrupt windows and my user profile? There are no system folders in my C:\Users\Name are there?

Otherwise, what you're saying is to save all my documents, downloads, to my SSD which only has a capacity of 256gb?

I want to be able to use the HDD to store all my downloads, saved documents, photos, etc to a HDD rather than use it on a SSD.

Any guidance? I've never done this before..

Put your OS and Programs on the SSD. Your Documents, Music, etc can go on the HDD. This will make your programs open faster being on the SSD. You will have plenty of room. Windows 7 only takes about 30 GB.

If you like, I would recommend to do what's in the yellow tip box at the top of the tutorial instead of actually moving all the user folders in your user profile folder to the HDD.

It'll be easier and safer to do. :)
