unetbootin stuck at 84%, can't create a liveCD to USB help

I downloaded unetbootin, tried to install TAILS onto my USB drive (pendrive). It gets stuck at 84% for the past 10 minutes now.

I tried to create on another USB and it got stuck at 84% too.

I think there's something wrong with my laptop or it could be unetbootin.

I also tried to use ultraISO to write disk image .Iso to USB and it didn't work either...

2GB USB & 8GB USB both stuck at 84%, pic below.

If both drives get stuck at the same point with the same file, it points to the ISO file being the culprit, can you re-download unetbootin and see if it was just a file corruption?

Likely to be a corrupted ISO download. You can check it.

I tried it on another .iso (windows 7) and it was about 3.2 gigabytes. It also got stuck at 84% but not sure why....

    I would suggest using "Rufus".

Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way

Just select the ISO and your USB disk and leave other settings to auto detect by "Rufus". If it also fails, most likely the flash drive may have problems.

When and if you use Rufus, uncheck the Quick format option. Let it do a full format on the pen drive..
