    Share Printer win7 64bits bits with win xp 32bits


    Hello i have install the win 7 64bits in the server, but my others pc with xp 32bits, my hp 3745 is automatic install with win 7 64bits, but I can not share the network for computers with xp 32bit, when I install says missing driver, can someone tell me how correcting this? thank's

    Easy to do, and works like a charm. you just have to trick the computers:

    I have 2 x Win7 x64 computers networked with 4 x WinXP x32 computers. All share 2 different printers (and also a p-touch labelmaker). The printers are connected to 2 of the the computers.

    The only catch is that the computer to which the printer is attached must be turned on.

    Other than that, all the computers on my network can access any of the printers.

    Yes but that work around requires that a 64 bit driver was actually made for the networked printer which is often not the case.

    With my old Dell all in one printer, they never bothered to make a Vista 64 bit driver let alone a Win 7 one, in fact no 64 bit drivers were ever made for my old printer. No way it will work and I have tried everything. You can't poodle fake a 32 bit driver to work with a 64 bit Op system.
