Mouse click not functional after waking from sleep

    Hi Folks,

I have a very strange issue here. When I wake from sleep, my mouse (trackpad) click does not work. It sometimes has the blue rotating circle indicating it's busy, but other times it's just the pointer. I can select a window, but that window does not actually fully focus such that I can interact with it. I can ctrl-alt-del to get the task manager, and I can interact with it with the mouse. But if I click away from the task manager, I cannot click back to it. Rather, I have to ctrl-alt-del back to it.

After 5 minutes or so, the mouse usually becomes functional again.

I've tried to disable and re-enable the mouse via device manager, but the "disable" button is greyed out. All my drivers are up to date.

Any thoughts about how to debug this?

    thanks in advance.
