Problem with font size. (Windows 7 32bit Starter edition)

Hello, I'm having a problem with font size so I thought I could ask for a solution here.

So after I re-installed my W7, everything was fine. But I wanted to try, what will change if I set the font size to medium (125%). I don't like it now, so I want to reset it to normal (100%). The problem is that whenever I try to change it back, it says I need to restart the computer to get the changes. I do restart the computer (I even tried to shut down it completely and then turn it on again) and there are no changes, it's still 125% even in the settings.

Is there any solution for this? Because the font size is just too big for the resolution I'm using (it's max)

    Thanks.

I using Win 7 Home Premium 64, I assume it is the same.

Be sure you do # 8 or no changes will be made.

    1> Click Start.
    2> Click Control Panel.
    3> Click Personalization.
4> Go down to the bottom of the window and choose Display.
5> Choose Smaller, Medium or Larger.
6> Go to the top of the main window and Click the Left arrow.
7> Click the X to exit.
    8> Click Apply

    NOTE:
A Restart is necessary for changes to take affect.

I've tried this already. It says I need to reboot the system, and after rebooting it's the same, even in the settings it is set to 125 even I set it to 100 before the reboot.
