Compaq HP Windows 7, boot manager problem
Okay, so when I start up my computer, it takes me to a page that is titled " Windows Boot Manager "
The page says:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert Windows installation disc and restart your computer
2. Choose your language settings and click " Next "
3. Click " Repair your computer "
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File:/Boot/BCD
Status:0xc0000225
Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration date.
( Then in a white line at the very bottom is says )
ENTER=Continue
And then I click enter and it starts up again and takes me to the exact same page. I don't have the original disc I got, so I bought a new one and it doesn't work on the computer for whatever reason.
This started a few months ago when I was trying to do a factory reset, when I tried to turn it on it just started showing me this page. Beforehand the computer was still acting weird, like not letting me get onto google ( saying it couldn't connect but only when I went to the google website ) and just being very slow and glitchy.
Can anyone help ?
