Power icon missing after removal ZeroAccess rootkit

I removed this nasty from my cousin's laptop about 5 months ago w/ a combination of RKill, Farbar's Service Scanner, Eset Sirifef tool & services repair, ComboFix, MBAM.... and a couple others. One of the residual problems was Action Center was missing from the notification area and I was able to repair that using this reg file posted by user "zcwmeorp" here @ 7 Forum but didn't notice until I visited her yesterday that the Power Icon was missing. I've done some Googling and plan to do/have her do an sfc /scannow to see if that fixes it but wanted to check here to see if any of you 7 Guru's have a quick reg file fix like the one I linked to.

Option greyed out in rt click taskbar> Properties> taskbar> customize> Turn system icons on or off

Is the laptop plugged in to power when you see this, on battery, or it doesn`t matter which ?

It still looks this way ?

Thanks for the reply, actually she had both the battery in & the laptop plugged in when I noticed this.

    Hello Joe,

Step 7 in Option Two of the tutorial below may be able to help with this. :)

Thanks Shawn, I failed to mention that I tried that & it didn't fix the problem, nor did sfc /scannow.

ETA: I spoke too soon, she just called me & said the problem is solved, apparently Shawn's solution worked after she restored default settings.
