Error booting, Error 0xc000000e - Boot selection failed
So I switch off my laptop at night, everything is normal, didn't install a new driver software as far as I remember.
Next morning when I switch it on I get on to the Windows loading screen and then in the midst of the windows loading screen it hangs. I try to restart it after pressing the kill switch and this time it says
1.Launch system repair
2. Load windows normally
When I select Option 2 the same cycle of hanging in Windows loading screen happens so I press option 1. I get
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
Status: 0xc000000e
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.
I don't have a recovery disc so I tried to boot from a fresh CD but again same problem (And yes I did select boot from CD in BIOS) - I couldn't even go to the language selection - Just the windows loading screen then it hangs there.
I thought it might be an issue with my HDD so I replaced it but still the same issue, tried changing the RAM and yet the same issue. I tried Safe Mode and it loads some driver and then hangs. I selected "Last known successful boot setting" and again same issue - It starts on Windows loading screen for a couple of seconds and then just hangs.
I do not use multiple OS, just the Win 7 HB and there is no partitioning in my HDD. It's a single 1TB C Drive in my system.
So my question is -
Is it a problem in the hardware - defunct Mother Board etc or has it got something to do with software and how can I get rid of this issue?
Thanks a lot for reading the long post and for any help in advance.
Cheers
