Indexing stopped after Hard Drive replacement

I have Win7 64 bit Professional and Outlook 2007. My C drive is raided and recently one of the Seagate 750 Gb drives was failing and so I've replaced that with a Seagate 1Tb Barracuda drive and ever since my indexing is not working. Tried all the solutions that have appeared including scanning the PC and none worked. For example when I try and turn on Windows Search I get a message along the lines of The Windows Search service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

Indexing Services and Windows Search are turned on in check boxes.

Trouble shoot search and indexing brings up an error message of A problem is preventing the trouble shooter from starting.

When I try to rebuild the index, nothing seems to happen at all.

This is driving me nuts. Anyone that can help deserves a big chocolate fish.

No, I don't think so and it seems not to be a very good video either.

This is clearly a common issue with Win 7 judging by the many posts expressing pure frustration. Its getting to the point where I am honestly considering changing to Win 8 or doing a Win 7 reinstall. Very very frustrating problem.

Can you make a video or show some screens to know exactly your issue?

Do you still have RAID which Win7 doesn't like very much? It doesn't confer any benefits and isn't even redundant since most users lose everything if they lose one drive. Better to install to an SSD which is blazing fast and backup to the HD's.

Try establishing a Clean Boot, check for Malware, run SFC, try a free lightweight AV like MSE, and go over your system with the other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

    Then rebuild your Index.

In terms of the Raid. Everything with this was working just fine and indexing was OK. One of the Seagate 750Gb drives was intermittently vanishing and then rebuilding so I identified the faulty drive, replaced it with a Seagate 1 Tb drive, rebuilt it from the good drive and everything seems to be going OK except indexing. I've also done a complete scannow process
