Best Place to buy Genuine Windows 7 license?

Hello, I am looking to upgrade my laptop from XP to Windows 7. Can anyone tell me the best place I can buy a key for cheap? I am looking for Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate, and I really don't care which one. I would like to do a fresh install not an "upgrade", though my computer is currently running a windows product as we speak. Hopefully the place I buy the key from will also have the software available for download. I have heard people mention finding licenses for $30-$40 before. Thank you all in advance for any help you can give me.

The only place is a legitimate seller such as ---http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=4622&name=Windows_7&srkey=windows%207%20operating%20system

If you have been told that you can get one for $30.00 -- run for the hills - they are fake.

You can't actually "upgrade" from XP to Win7 as MS only allows upgrades from one Windows version to the next.

As to price, anything that cheap is likely to be a stolen MSDN license, and while it might work in the beginning, eventually, it will be caught by MS and disabled.

Here ya go

Operating Systems, Microsoft Windows OS - Newegg.com

If you are attempting to upgrade a Laptop running XP, then I would try Home Premium 32 bit.

But if the laptop has a dual core cpu and 8 GBs of memory, then by all means install 64 bit

This advice has been passed down to me from my father, who learned it from his father, who learned it from an old wise man.

Always buy a license from a reputable retailer like Amazon, Newegg, TigerDirect, ect. In the case of Windows, buy the CD from them. I don't think there are many legitimate retailers that sell Windows keys but I may be wrong.

NEVER ever buy a license from one of those cheap gray market retailers. Just spend the extra money. Trust me, and everyone else who responded. And I know for a fact many others will agree with me on this. Just buy it at full price.

If you buy something from one of those discount sites, 1) you don't know who you are dealing with and 2) Microsoft might decide that the keys bought from these people are no good and deactivate the entire batch of them (this happened recently with Sniper Elite 3, a video game. People bought the key from these unknown sellers and the developer deactivated the keys.)

Use Tiger Direct or New Egg to be sure. These are the ones we see consistently here now.

Tiger goes down to $89 regularly for Home Premium which is all most consumers need: Compare Windows 7 Editions - Windows 7 Forums

Hi, Last few days my computer has been extremely slow on startup. Boots up fine, then takes 10 minutes where it will take commands from my mouse but won't actually load anything and then later on will go back to normal-ish speed (I think it's a bit more spiky but could just be me). Yesterday I...
