How do I verify that I have sufficient privileges?

    hello
I'm trying to update my Itunes but I'm getting a popup saying that apple mobile device failed to start, verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. I have no idea what privileges or system services they're talking about

Thank you :) I already got it fixed though. I uninstalled all of the Apple stuff and then downloaded a whole new iTunes from the internet. Now I have the latest version. But I'm still going to use that Windows Repair Tool

I didn't lose the songs or their ratings either, I thought I might what with uninstalling everything but they're all still there

Nope music files are separate from the program itunes. Metadata is stored in the files that holds that info.
