    Try this. Right click the USB drive > Properties > Security tab > Advanced button. At the top of the next box click Select a principal. Enter the object name as Everyone and tick Full control. Hopefully you will now be able to access the files but if not come back with what happened.

    I just added a screen shoot of the files in the usb ... it was able to change the permission on the folder but no tthe files it self.

    Did that it is share . but still the same . Is also happening with the PDF files as well.

    The files shown in green are encrypted. Know anything about that? Were you using BitLocker on the old OS, or any other encryption system?
