    Missing My Documents folder

I have inadvertently moved the My Documents folder from Documents to another location. Apparently I am not allowed to move it back. How can I get it back in the Documents folder?

Hello Mark, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You should be able to use OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to restore your Documents folder's default location. :)

I tried both options 1 and two. neither had any affect on the location of the "My Documents" folder. It remains at C:\user\documents\public documents\my documents. I need to get it out of the public documents folder. I appreciate the research but in this case it did not solve the problem. Maybe I'm missing something.

Did you do all of Option Two and not just part of it?

Finally made it work. I had to drag the "my documents" folder to the new "document" folder created by option 2. Seems to be all right. Thanks for the help.
