    Random restarts. Error 41 Kernel-Power

Hi, recently I've been getting a whole lot of these errors especially when i play games like World of Warcraft or Diablo 3. It occurs when I'm not playing as well although its a very rare occurrence. I've been trying to figure out what's wrong and I've given up. I've sent my laptop to ASUS twice to get it checked and they keep telling me nothing is wrong.

Below is the error I keep getting. Its really frustrating. If you need to know anymore info please ask as I do not know what you would be looking for?

    Crash dump initialization failed!
We need to see the crash dumps.

Follow it: Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD
Go to Option Two, Point 2. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Now wait for another BSOD. When it occurred, search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. See if the crash dump is recorded or not (hopefully it will be recorded).Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

If still Crash dumps are failing to be recorded, take a camera snap of the BSOD screen and let us see it.

At least that information is needed before we suggest anything to you.

For the time being, take some precautionary actions.

Uninstall MagicDisc. The SCSI (mcdbus) installed by it is enough to cause BSODs.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver, SynTPEnh.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept then restart.

It would also help us if you could fill in your system Specs.

Those BSOD dump files would be a problem. There has never been a BSOD whenever this problem occurs. Its like someone flips off the power switch and turns it on again.

This problem is a BSOD? use the tool that Arc provided you, and we will see what it pulls.

Okay. So I downloaded and used the .reg file, uninstalled magic disc, disabled the startup items and played my game until it crashed. There's no dump file at all. As for taking a camera snap that's not gonna happen. I don't see the BSOD at all, not even for a fraction of a second.

You wouldn't be the first to be confused. I took my laptop to ASUS twice. They checked it out and formatted my harddisk both times and this problem still persists. Idk if this helps but I don't install windows updates on my laptop.

Should I try and see if it reboots again after I install the updates?
