I'm still waiting for my CD's, have you received any form of confirmation that they're on their way?

No, not yet. My laptop is arriving next week, and I will order the upgrade kit as soon as I get it. I just wanted to check whether people who have the kit and upgraded have found it easy to use, or whatever their comments are.

Uhm, first of all. Can I perform a clean install or is it an upgrade alone? Which would you recommend? Do you have any problems with the upgrading? And lastly how long did it take you to receive the upgrade kit after you provided your proof of purchase? thanks

I received mine on Friday. I bought my computer in August. About 10 days after the release.

Nice.. Thanks for the message. Have you upgraded yet? Did you do a clean install or just an upgrade? By the way, what was included in the upgrade kit? And which laptop was it?

Not a laptop, an HP pavillion. Came in a padded envelope. They sent 2 disks.
    HP UPGRADE ASSISTANT and
    Win 7 Premium Upgrade Media.

And a big sheet of instructions.

Haven't done it yet, cause I'm still trying to figure out how to keep Windows Mail. I will just probably do an upgrade. I can always do a custom install later on.

Tricky question the answer is yes but. No matter what you do if you ever want to reinstall Windows 7 you will need your Vista backup disks. They tell you this at the bottom of the sheet. You have to roll back to Vista 64 before you can reinstall Windows 7. Be careful with the instruction once Windows 7 starts to install it never cuts off allowing you unplug your nic. Just a word of warning on my copy the install assistant never popped up a finish screen. Having said all that everything is fine. Good luck
