    cmd font size too small

    cmd font size too small-untitled.jpg

    my resolution is 1680 x 1050
the font size is at smaller (100%) but everything else has a normal size..easy to read..in the command prompt windows i can barely see the text..
can i do something to make the text bigger in cmd..without modifying my resolution..or the text size for the entire windows?

    Of course you can...

CMD window->Right Click CMD icon (upper left corner)->Properties->Font

    Adjust to your liking

    Not quite solved, please help

    Hello there,

this answer is excellent, but I need some more help. The problem is that *every* program opens small console window. If I fix cmd.exe then it appears correctly, but any other console program opens again small window. So these settings must be inherited from some central place. I need to find this thing and set proper font system-wide. OS is Win7 Professional RTM, default visual theme, 120% DPI setting.

    Thanks in advance.

Right-click on an empty spot on your display's desktop |
    Choose "Screen Resolution |
Click on "Make text and other items smaller or larger" |
Click on the 125% radio button |
    Click on the "Apply" button
