    Context Menu -> New, adding bmp

    Hi!

    i have problems with Windows 7 New context menu

    In my regedit, HKey Local...
    .bmb

    I have ShellNew->NullFile
    I tried setting it to 1 or no value, it doesn't work to add bmp to my menu file
    but when I deleted ShellNew for other file type of the new menu, they disappear, but whatever type I try to add, it doesn't work..

    please help me! I'm tired of looking over the net for this

    Hello Abell, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Step 1 in the tutorial below may be able to restore New -> "Bitmap image" for you. :)

    In that case, it could be an association issue. If you like, download and merge the .reg file for the listed bmp option below to restore the default associations for .bmp files to see if that may help instead.

    Did you restart the computer afterwards to fully apply?

    What location are you trying to create a new .bmp file at?

    What were you trying to do with a new .bmp file? Perhaps there may be a workaround.
