Alright so I made a windows 7 bootable dvd and inserted it into the laptop and tried to boot it and I received the error ' CD/DVD HL-DT-STDVDRAM GT30N is failed'. What exactly is the problem?

Well it doesnt always work.. Ive worked with dvds many times and sometimes, while burning, something happens and the dvd doesnt work. This is what i recommend:
Get an empty usb (4 gb space, backup all data on it before u use it)
Download Rufus (dont mess with the options if u dont know what they are going to do)
Do not extract the iso file, but instead open rufus and browse to where the iso is.
Make sure the usb selected in Rufus is the one u want to make a bootable usb (make sure the letters right)
Run the Program, reboot and try to boot from the usb (press the button indicated at the startup screen and choose removable devices (thats what it says for me/ usb) )
