Is the Trojan really that bad?
As I said, follow the tutorials. There is no need to buy a new pc. Any hard drive can be wiped and clean installed with windows. Once we get windows installed, we can scan your backup for any threats before restoring them to your pc.
    Alright..

If you can access that email service on mobile, it should be deleted from there in case it infects your new computer. Also, you may not need to get a new PC. You should be able to clean install because the trojan is in the hard drive/SSD only probably.Clean Install Windows 7 Remember to get the network drivers in case the generic ones don't work.

You got conned into purchasing a new computer when you didn't need to...if you had followed the tutorials you old computer would have been good as new.

Yeah, retailers occasionally con people to make them buy something.

Of course they told you that. And I highly doubt the people at rent a center know more then us do here. You went somewhere that has an interest in you paying more money to them, and you trusted them over advice over the internet? Makes no sense, I gain nothing from telling you what to do.

    They do.
