BIOS showing invalid info, time resets every time shut down.

I just replaced my laptop motheboard. With the new motherboard, time always reset after shutdown, and sometimes the little internet icon in the bottom right corner would be invisible. So i upgraded my bios, and still have same problem. I have a LENOVO G470 with InsydeH2O BIOS. I have an image of the bios attached. Also, the bios can read the HDD.

Did you install a CMOS battery? Is it new or used?
Check the Time zone, make sure it's correct.

CMOS battery is used. Time zone always changes by itself. It goes to 1/1/09 12:00am

Since the BIOS is getting scrambled, my first guess would be the CMOS battery. Pain to do but I'd replace it with a new one.

Ztrucker's diagnosis is definitely the most likely cause of your problem.

The Lenovo G470 does have a CMOS battery but it does require some dismantling to get to it. If you search on Google under CMOS battery replacement for Lenovo G470 it will give you some idea of the job
If you don't feel able to manage it then get it done professionally.

Do I have to melt it or something so I can get it off?

None of the manuals or instructions I found online show how to replace the CMOS battery in the G470. On some of the other Lenovo laptops the battery is in a receptacle much like it is with a Desktop so if you can disassemble it enough you should be able to replace it.

I did find this YouTube video on disassembling a C470. Lenovo G470 laptop take apart/disassemble - YouTube

that is just a plastic covering the tip of it is glued on the motherboard

Disconnect Windows time from the BIOS time

Samsung laptop date/time resets - not bios battery!
Hi! I wonder if anyone can help me with this as I have no idea what could be causing this. I have played with it so much I can be fairly precise about its behaviour so please excuse me if I overdo it on the description. I have a Samsung RC-520 (less than a year old) which resets the time and...

I have an issue with Windows 7. Whatever time I set Windows 7 to (i.e. Eastern Time, Western Time, Coordinated Universal Time, etc.), on restart it sets itself to GMT, while still showing that I've selected the previous time zone I set (i.e. Eastern Time). Any help would be appreciated.
