Accidentely clicked "deny" on winlogon in regedit, how to fix with cmd?

Yeah like the title says, I clicked "deny" on the wrong folder (on all users). Anyone know how I can change it to "allow" so windows can start again? At this point I can't start windows, however I can access cmd.

This is the folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon.
But I don't know what command that allows me to change the competence to "allow" while in the cmd.

Somebody please help me

Welcome to the forums.

The easiest way to fix it if you have a Restore Point is run
rstrui.exe
at the command prompt

The reg.exe command is an external command that is available in the following Microsoft operating systems;
Windows XP

Start rstrui.exe gives me an unknown command... :s So that won't work.

Yeah I've seen that page and tried to understand what command I should be using but haven't found it, and frankly can't really understand it (my English is not too good).

It's supposed to be in C:\Windows\system32 which should be in the path if you are running it from a command prompt, not the start button.

Try this command from a command prompt
dir C:\Windows\system32\rstrui.exe

to see if the file is there.

Hiding "tray icons", even if the small arrow is clicked.
Hi. I installed a program that I want to use with my PC (Unified Remote, Connects up your PC and android device), it runs in the background, however, there is a tray icon visible when the small "up arrow" is clicked. I read this and this method only tells me the way it can be removed from the...

Outlook.com vs. WLM when "send link as" or "send page as" is clicked
I have a W7 32bit laptop and I do not have MS Office installed. I have been using Hotmail until a couple weeks ago when I was "converted" to outlook.com email - which I like OK. When I'm using a browser - IE9 in this case - and when I click on "send link as" or "send page as", it launches Windows...

Hello, I was just checking my new disk in Disk Management, and I was about to extend the volume I already had, when I miss clicked and deleted the whole volume. After some research it seems that I can recover it, because the data isn't lost yet, but I didn't find any solutions for win7 yet....

Accidentally set "deny" on full control, can't unset
Can someone please help me? I meant to deny only one folder access temporarily to another user I added, but even though I right clicked that folder, it apparently gave me the properties of the entire D:\ drive. On top of that, I ended up denying full control on 'users', which even locked out my...
