Taskbar keyboard shortcuts don't work for me

I've read that the shortcut to access items in your task bar is windowkey + (1-9) depending on the placement of the app from the start button. I've tried it, but no luck. When I press the combination, nothing happens. Does this work for anybody else? Am I doing something wrong? I love the idea of this working, but it does me no good until I get some kinda success with it.

Win + 1-9 work for me (fyi - this isn't new, as it was in Vista as well). No problems starting IE (Win+1), iTunes (Win+5) or anything else in the superbar. Do you have a new Windows 7 installation?

I wasn't aware of the shortcuts, until reading this thread, but I just tried them, and they do work for me. I'm wondering if the different versions (mine is Pro) is the reason for the OP's problem?

I upgraded yesterday from my existing vista home premium installation. I really hope it doesn't have anything to do with the vista version because I was really hoping to utilize those shortcuts on a regular basis.

Did you do an in-place upgrade, or did you do a clean install? Also, please update your system specs (see the link in my signature).

I do not think the cause of this error is from a different Windows version.

I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to 7 Home Premium and I just successfully used the shortcuts.

It was an in-place upgrade. Also, the stats have been updated.
