Windows all the way. Apple stuff is grossly overpriced.

I found the Mac book air much nicer than any laptop I could find, it's a bit pricey but runs my Windows 8.1 great.

This semester I have to use Macs for my Web Design course (the coding subjects use Windows though).
I find that using its allegedly superior GUI fills me with feelings of frustration and horror.

I'm too used to the Windows way of doing things.

You asked the question in a forum dedicated to a Windows OS, I don't see how you could possibly expect to get an unbiased opinion here. I predict most responses will favor Windows.

The debate over Windows vs Mac has been going on for decades and there is no clear cut winner. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. What you will get on this forum are biased opinions. What else could you expect on a Windows forum? These opinions are determined by the individuals own requirements, experiences, and prejudices, which may be radically different than your own.

Windows is more popular but the Mac has found a market where it does quite well. Some people love it. Others hate it. Human nature being what it is you could hardly expect it to be otherwise.

Your best option is to try both and see what you prefer. The decision may be difficult but only you can make it.

I have a MacBook Pro with Mavericks OS X 10 but also have WinVista, Win7, Win8.1 and Linux Mint computers. I got the Mac because I have half a dozen clients that have changed over, had to get more knowledge about their machines. The downside of them using Macs is I don't get as many calls as I do with Windows. For most people the changeover wouldn't be that difficult as long as they do with new Windows versions, get their mind set to decide to learn something new.

And to this quoted post if you can read you will clearly see mixed opinions, so thank you for your pointless post :s.

As I read it, the majority of the responses DID favor Windows, several were on the fence and only 1 was pro Apple, so I stand by my prediction.

The point you missed in my "pointless post" was that there are better places you could have asked the question if you wanted an unbiased opinion.
