Windows Diagnostic Service Policy is not running

Hi as the title above says I am having trouble with the windows diagnostic service policy not running. When trying to fix it using troubleshooting it does not do anything. I have set all 3 diagnostics to automatic as some threads have suggested however when I try to enable the diagnostic service policy specifically all I am getting is error 5 unable to turn it back on. I have no clue what is going on halp please.

Yes, try method 2 and then if that doesn't work, run an SFC scan as suggested in Method 3. If you have to run an SFC scan, please post results here, instructions below.

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

Do you have a USB that you can use to transfer the file over and then post it here?

The backstory to what happened was that my old graphics card burned out and in trying to see if it was truly my graphics card i had windows restored my computer to a previous checkpoint from these two phases i somehow lost internet and the windows diagnostic policy. fastforward to today i installed the new graphics card but i still have this problem not sure if this helps at all in determining the problem or mistake i made

I'm having the same problem where the Diagnostic Service Policy just doesn't want to start.

I've tried all of the possible solutions from Windows's Fix It application up until Forums advice.

I ran sfc /scannow and received the following
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.
For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

I have no idea in how to find the corrupt file in the CBS.log
...and if it is found, is there a way in replacing the corrupt file?

I've attached the log file to the post.
