    BIOS and pre-boot lagging

While in my BIOS I get alot of lag, it is a mouse controlled BIOS on a custom build less than a year old, its specs can be found under my profile. I have a LinuxMint dual boot and GRUB shows the same amount of lag. I am running my OS off an SSD so I would expect fast boot times like my laptop which is also on an SSD. My boot times are slow but as soon as Win7 is running I have 0 lag. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Did you check if there is an update available to the BIOS?
    Try clearing NVRAM by either:
    1. Resetting BIOS to default settings
    2. Remove and re-seat CMOS battery from the computer
