I just noticed something, I have a light on my laptop telling me when the HDD is running or not, and after I start up the install the light turns off which means the HDD stops working, does this mean it is a hardware issue, or a dirty little virus corrupting my HDD

First boot into BIOS setup to see if the HD is even detected, under Storage or Boot order. If not try reseating it to get it to show up, or replace it.

If the HD is detected work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot.

The steps try everything possible to start Win7 leading up to if necessary rescuiing your files to run Recovery or do the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Report back results as you go. If disks won't boot there are flash stick alternatives provided. If none of these will boot try resetting the BIOS to defaults.

If you want to skip to reinstall and it won't proceed then try these steps for https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ml#post2714895
