Just seeing this line now Greg
"I would accept them all to be safest"

A quick question about updates. In the past I have had renders in work going overnight and arrive in the next morning to find the PC had restarted and messed up the render, or even a scene file I had open. So it's cool to set it to download but not to restart them?

All you need do that: Windows Update - Enable or Disable Automatic Restart - Windows 7 Help Forums

Try to take a minute to restart for Updates when prompted.

Thanks. OK, here is a screengrab of my new SSD benchmark...I had a feeling it would still be not too good

Yeah the results there look far better than what I am getting. I was emailing Dell earlier and asked them about replacing the SSD and here is what they said:

"Before we replace any part on your system, please run the diagnostic test first to check your system for any hardware failure. To do this, please follow the steps below:

Shut down and restart the computer. Right after pressing the power button, immediately tap <F12> several times. Once the menu appears, select DIAGNOSTICS. That should run the offline diagnostic test on your system.

Please take note of any error code you may receive including the Validation code."

There are just two yellow marks that are missing drivers now, I take it I can ignore the SAS one? When I go to the Dell drivers site, the ones visible under storage and storage controllers are quite a few LSI ones and mentions of MegaRAID. Here is a screengrab of my Device Manager window, does it look OK to you? The fact it says ATA beside my SSD, it this OK?

SSD being ATA is normal. (Sometimes they show as SCSI also).
LSI is correct one for SAS.
Ethernet is, well.., Ethernet

Thanks, but I should just leave the LSI drivers as I don't need them is that correct?
The diagnostic test finished there and it said fail for:
Fail PSA V4236 Error 2000:0141. Hard Drive - No Hard Drive detected

Probably because of the missing SAS drivers?

Do you think my SSD results are bad GokAy? What would your advice be there?
Should I plug in my HDD and reboot to see if it gets picked up?
I would like to see if I can successfully get my user folders to point to that, then try to install 3ds Max. If that install crawls, I suppose it will confirm that the SSD is screwed, but then I have to convince Dell that it needs replacing.
