    media system is corrupt

    Hi,

I'm using the release candidate, latest version. All was fine until today I had to reboot and got a message "the media system is corrupt". So I uninstalled and reinstalled my video card driver, but now my aero is not working. I'll try again, but maybe someone has some information about this corruption notice???

    Thanks!

Are installing the update drivers, which are for Win7 (7600 RTM).

Try upgrading to Win7 (7600 RTM).

    1. Try the System file checker

    2. If that doesn't work, try a "repair install" which is a lot easier than reinstalling from scratch b/c it will leave your programs, data and most settings in place.

I uninstalled my video driver, rebooted, and let Windows find and install the driver, and my aero worked. Then I reinstalled my antivirus and now the aero is not working. I do NOT have the media system error anymore.
