hi welcome to the forum
Hi Everyone!
I'm not exactly new here.... but having a new problem, I don't know where it should go.
General Discussion? Software? (No specific one for Window's free versions of its WordPad and NotePad), or back in the thread where this began, even if not part of the original problem at all?? i.e. my questions in the Backup and Restore section? (or even in General Software as its a word-processors problem/browser problem? ) or maybe I should double post the questions in BOTH one of these and Browsers as slow typing occurs no matter where I type it!!!)
I am busy trying to prepare to close/mark as solved about 7 threads as they have been solved.(!) Thanks and reps are done and need to be re-done for all the good work/efforts I received here!!
I am TRYING to type thank yous to everyone who helped me on each thread.
I am composing them using Windows 7's Word Pad/NotePad (or trying--like this one--typing directly ON the thread editing screen)
What happens is I'm LOSING my Word Pad documents!
Either they vanish mysteriously.... entirely..
I'm using Recuva Program to search for them---deep searches too---unsuccessful so far..
I have some files with the file name still active (so its not erased file, I can't restore it!)..
OR else they vanish as the contents of the FILE even if they say 11K etc--when I open them ---- are totally BLANK!!!
(I am leaving out lots lots of details of when they occur, and what other operations are going on in background/ extensions/ all sorts of details here.. as I don't know where to post yet)
The reason I don't' know where to post the question... is this all started to occur after I fixed up the VSS system which was broken..
Is the computer now so busy in the background making shadow copies that it has slowed my typing speed down a lot???? SERIOUSLY a lot!!!
I will post more details in my actual question, so not taking up room here with more details than this...
Thanks for directing me to the correct division here so my question does not get misplaced/lost!

Hi my name tiggs.THe other day I stumpled upon this forum by accident. I had a problem although I could connect to internet my browsers ( Firefox and opera) were not showing. I tried many things including some info off here nothing worked except one piece of info ( check your network adapters or drives - uninstall them and then reinstall them). This advice worked to my amazement and turned my diagnostic service policy on so thanks thanks
