    Still a Newbie

Been running W7 on older machines.
I'm a "Career Changed" bsee familiar with "bit slice" but not Widows operating systems.
Main Line experience was Mac..but when my Excel Macros needed to call other workbooks, well I had to start using what is used at Work. Purchased a vintage Optiplex. VBA is quite transportable.
With the end of XP Work moved over to W7.
The Tsunami was on. Work moved from NT of W7.
I followed on with a T61 running '7 about a year ago and bought a W7 disk from Amazon [for the Dell]
Along the way I found a lot of answers in these forums.
    Glad you are here.

    New To The Froum...

Hello. My real name is Jim. I was in the I/T industry for 41 years prior to retiring in 2008. I spent most of my professional life as a Systems Engineer for that large computer company with the stripped logo. I am not an expert on MS software, as I worked mostly with the OSs of the big company I worked for. I also did programming, systems analysis, and project management in my professional life. I'll be here for assistance more than being able to help anyone. I am also a woodworker for over 3 decades and build mostly furniture for my home and relatives.
