Problem after permanent hibernations, unsaved files

Hi there guys!

I have a problem after using hibernation to "turn off" my desktop PC. It's a simple way to continue working on my projects after resuming, so I used to hibernate the machine for about month and a half... or even two months.

But one day, after resuming, the PC started acting not responsive enough, taking slow and slow when it got black screen of death. A few minutes after the black screen appeared, I left it hoping to fix its self, but it rebooted.
Of course I lost everything which was not previously saved. I've managed to restore word files, InDesign files and other file types with autosave function...

So how to restore my Notepad unsaved notes, cuz I had alot and they were really important, but... not saved...

After rebooting I have copied hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys (using getdataback for NTFS, scanning MFTs)

Is it possible to start the PC from the session before the crash using the files mentioned above?
Should I try to replace the existing files on C:\ with the ones I saved?

How to avoid hibernation problems? Why is that with the black screen?

Please, help me.
God bless you guys!

Not saved? Problem is the data was in memory/RAM and loss of power to the memory modules usually wipes out anything in memory, gives the computer a fresh start which is quite helpful when a program locks up and nothing but a shutdown will help.

Turn it off. I've seen lots of problems using both Sleep and Hibernation. If you need to be away from the computer and have others around that you want to keep from reading you could use the Lock using the key combination of the Windows key plus the L. If you have a password on your screensaver [usually the same as for login] you'd have to enter it again.

Also, you might consider OneNote, it has a Save and Backup feature in Options. If not using Microsoft Office you can get OneNote free from http://www.onenote.com/.
