Cannot Search for Shortcut Files (*.lnk)

Hi guys,

I created shortcuts to webpages and they became Internet Shortcuts with .lnk extension (supposedly).

However, searching for *.lnk does not yield results.
How do I search for shortcut files?

The URLs are not regular icons/shortcuts. In the properties of the one for this page that i dragged to my desktop by clicking and dragging the small icon at the left end of the URL in the Address Bar shows "Cannot Search for Shortcut Files (.lnk) - Windows 7 Help Forums" [title of the page] instead of the name of a program such as seen for the Paint shortcut of "%windir%\system32\mspaint.exe". Dragging a URL to the Desktop is the same as dragging it to the Favorites Toolbar or Bookmarks Toolbar.
