    PC reboots daily at 11:45pm

    Hi,

PC reboots daily at 11:45pm. How can I track down the source of this daily restart? Thanks...

Look in event viewer to see if it shows what caused the restart (maybe a scheduled task?).
This tutorial by Brink should help:

Thanks for youjr reply! Great pointer to the Brink tutorial. All I've learned so far is that the recent reson code was 0x500FF. I'll see if I can find the meaning of that online

Yes I expect it will turn out to be a scheduled task, I just don't know where it wsa/is scheduled or how to find it. The Brink tutorial is a good start

    Thanks,

When you open Task Scheduler there is a drop down list where you can select tasks that have started in the Last Hour.
Next time it restarts, select tasks for the last hour and see if you can find something that way.

DavidE, how do you get to the drop down you mentioned? I don't see it.

It is displayed when I open task scheduler, the default is 24 hours.
