missing "my pictures" folder in users, folder renamed itself

I have such a mess going I am making another post to avoid confusion ( mostly in me ) I will try to explain.

I have a ssd for the os and then a hd for "D" storage,

Lets say my user name is "Harry" and I wanted to move some user/harry folders to the "D" drive,
I wanted to place the moved user folders into a folder of their own so I made in "D" a folder lets say I called "Dobby".

What I now thought I did was go to harry down to "my pictures" right click it then clicked properties,
then clicked location then clicked move, I then found "D" and found the "Dobby" folder in "D" clicked on "Dobby" and then select folder, I then click it to move and all files,

Now I have a two part problem.
"Dobby" folder is gone from "D" replaced with a second folder called "my pictures".
"my pictures" folder is gone from the user/harry folders list, how do I get it back?
    Next problem,
When I go into "D" I have two "my pictures" folders one empty and when I click properties on it and look at the sharing tab it's name is "my pictures".

When I click properties on the other folder named "my pictures" in "D" and go to the shared tab it's name is "Dobby"?

So how do I get "my pictures" folder back in the list on user/harry?
Why did the "dobby" folder rename itself as "my pictures" in "D" ?
Why didn't the "my pictures" folder end up in "dobby" folder like I tried to do?

Please help me fix this mess,
    Many thanks!

dobby folder on D drive contains a hidden file disktop.ini. Thats why it behaves as "my prictures". Please listen carefully and do just what i tell you!

folder is gone from the user/harry folders list. =>You mean C:\users\Harry doesn't have folder "my pictures" anymore?

D:\Dobby is actual folder name now of your new "my pictures". Please delete the other empty one.
So in D:\Dobby you have files like blblabla.jpg? If so in command prompt:

    Code:
    D:
    CD \
    Move Dobby Pictures
    exit
Succesfull? If succesfull Cut the Dobby folder (now called pictures. Maybe My pictures in file explorer) and Paste in folder C:\Users\Harry

All is back as it was before starting the movement of stuff.... so the same as yesterday? in winodws explorer->libraries->my pictures.... all looks fine now?

Please post results. Tonight in 3 hours you get further instructions. What stuff do you want to move? "my pictures"... but also "my documents", my video, my searches, my contact, my links, my favorites, my downloads.... please tell me

What you have been seeing is completely normal. If you move a folder with the location tab to a predefined folder on D, then this predefined folder will assume the name of the source folder.

If you want to move it back to C, it should be possible with the location tab (Restore Default).

Thank you so much for helping with this mess I made.
I hope I say this where you understand, it's very confusing to me.

Please know I was using D:\ for storage, it already had folders with names like Cars, bikes, tunes, and a folder named pictures.
These folders all had old files in them.

In D:\ there is no folder named "dobby" after I made it, it vanished replaced by a folder named "my pictures" I guess, when I tried to relocate "my pictures"

    Doing what you told me.
In D:\ was two folders named "my pictures" and I deleted the empty one.

Then I opened command prompt in admin mode, changed C: to

I put the code you gave me into command prompt and it moved the "my pictures" folder that is named "Dobby" only under it's sharing tab.
I couldn't find where it moved it to,

Knowing a file name that was in it I searched D:\ the "my pictures" folder was now in
    D:\Pictures
I cut "my pictures" folder from D:\Pictures, I opened C:\user\Harry folder and pasted it there,

Now When I open user\harry "my pictures" is back, but it's not the same as other folders there,
If I click on it's properties it has tabs only for General, Sharing, Security, pervious versions, customize, no "location".

But other folders in user\harry and the way "my pictures" folder was there before I moved it had all the tabs I listed above plus location tab.

    WHS,
Like I am trying to express, "my pictures" no longer has a locations tab. it didn't while in D: and doesn't now that I did as Kaktussoft told me to do,
While I do have "my pictures" folder back at C:\Users\harry it's still not right I still have problems as it's not like other user folders,

If I click "start" and "pictures" "my pictures" folder isn't there, in start>pictures all that is there is a folder called "sample pictures"

    again,
Thanks all for all the help...

That's because the location id of the folder was not moved. If you lost the location tab, you must have made a mistake along the way.

What you can do now is to include the folder you have into the pictures library. Go to the Properties of the Pictures Library and Include that folder (there is a button to do that). And don't forget "Apply".

    Open regedit and browse to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
    and
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Post two screenshots with all information visible. Make folder D:\dobby (we need it later).
What folder do you want to move. I know "my pictures" already. You also want to move Downloads, SavedGames, Contacts, Searches, Desktop, Favorites, Music, Videos, Links and Documents (as shown under C:\users\harry)?

Ideally what I wanted and would like to have is, a folder in "D:\" that has a name like I have been calling it "Dobby" which is just as good as any to use,
Keeping in mind there are other folders in "D:"

Within D:\Dobby folder I would like to have from C:\users\Len ( I have been calling it "Harry" but to avoid confusion and as you will see in the screen shots the actual C:\user is "Len" )
"Documents" "My pictures" and "Downloads" those are the only ones I really use.
But when I click start>len>My Pictures it's there in it's normal form with it's pictures like before I messed with it, but it's actual location is in D:\Dobby.

Perhaps/hopefully you can from the screen shots figure out how I messed things up with naming folders and trying to relocate stuff.
And I know this is something I messed up....some of that screen shot doesn't even look right to my novice brain.

    Many Many Many thanks!

the my pictures folder is now C:\users\len\downloads\dobby. See your first screenshot!

    1. Make folder D:\Dobby
    2. rightclick "My pictures" (so Dobby folder itself in C:\users\Len\downloads) and change the location tab. change location to D:\Dobby\Pictures.
    3. Select "Documents" and "Downloads" folder in c:\users\Len rightclick and cut. Goto D:\Dobby and paste.
Now post registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders again.
