clicking "save" box prevents printing

Just lately when I try to print some thing, a windows box opens and wants me to save as xps, whatever that means.I click it,and then another box pops up telling me there was an error while printing, and there is no print done. Does anyone know why this happens please?

Maxie, you certainly picked the correct avatar. You are a Star.
I read your suggestion and found the xps file had been on. I unchecked it, and the page printed immediately.
