    Windows 7 bugs

Windows 7 has a TON OF BUGS they need to work out. For example, almost all of the everyday things that I like to download, like Java, will not work on here. Microsoft needs to develope a lot of patches that will make my Vista software and hardware work on Windows 7.

    Hello Blake,

Be sure to send feedback to Microsoft about the bugs to help make Microsoft aware them.

    Brink is absolutely correct.

About your Java issue, instead of installing it online, download the installer package and install it offline then update. That usually does the trick

Sorry, but it's the same old story again. We hear this time and time again. Microsoft develops and writes the OS. They invite hardware manufacturers to write drivers for their products - some do, and some don't. The same thing goes for software developers. It is up to them whether or not they support a new OS, although, undoubtedly, it is in their best interest to do so. Let's face it, some still only just support XP, let alone Vista. Those are hardly likely to make the move to support W7. In a lot of cases, though, the support is there but is extremely well hidden. Companies would rather you buy a new product, be it hardware and/or software. Afterall, they would rather make money.

I agree that W7 has some bugs, although compared with Vista at the same stage not many. In fact, I have only come across a couple - intermittent font rendering problems in IE8 and WEI misreporting the graphics driver version. There is also the lack of a working E-mail client, although this is more of an annoyance than a bug.

I dont have 'ANYWHERE' near the problems I had with Vista Beta.

The only issues I have, besides driver support, are:
1: occasionally the startmenu will be blank, or discolored and messed up
2: after a windows explorer crash, windows explorer fails to start again
3: scroll bar on touchpad doesnt work after going to sleep mode

This is a beta after all.

Use the feedback system as the others suggested, and keep in mind how long you've been using the OS, its been less then a month since it's been released for public use. Personally, I've had no bug issues other then the odd one, less then I even had with Windows XP sp3, and thats something! But again, thats my experience...

If you have specific problems this is the place to be, post your problem and the kind folks around here will most gladly help you out, and there are very few problems we can't deal with.

    creating new folder

I have posted my feedback to MS ...

When I create a new folder ... suppose I want to download something from Firefox .. I click 'new', then name it .. and then click to open it..

It jump to another folder and opens in that!

Then I have to navigate and find my new named folder and open that.

    ----------------

So I have a folder with sub-folders named..

    cat
    dog
    mouse
and I make a 'new' folder and name it herbs - and click to open it.

    It will open dog..

And then I have to find herbs and open that!

    Anyone else have that problem?

I am using the public beta 7000. Just wondering if it had been fixed.
