Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit will not boot in any mode

Hi, I have a PC which has no new hardware and fully up to date AV on it but as of yesterday it will not boot. It will go as far as the Welcome Screen and then no further. It will not boot into Safe Mode either, gets as far as the files loaded and then no further.There is no recovery partition on the machine but I do have the install disk available. Reinstalling really would be my last option as I want to avoid kaving to do all the updates and patches for everything. Any ideas to get the machine booting again very gratefully received.TIA

Please read this tutorial fully, and follow all steps.

99% of the time all issues can be resolved with problems starting windows with this tutorial.
