I haven't changed any default settings, and my aero never changes. Have you changed any power settings?

From 'Balanced' to 'High Performance'.

If you change back to balanced, does aero still turn off? Have you checked the advanced power settings for high performance?

Yes, the only thing I've changed is Hibernation (set it to 'Never').
