You have been logged in with a temporary profile.
Hello. Recently, I've been experiencing a rather odd issue with my system which I cannot solve. When I type my password and press enter to get into my account, instead of "Welcome" it says "Preparing desktop" and then shows a message that reads "You have been logged with a temporary profile" because my system couldn't recognize my desktop (an error message indicating that the desktop folder is missing from c:/windows/system32). I tried to create a folder (as some people suggest) in system 32 and name it "desktop" but it didn't help. The background is black, everything is default, installed programs are still there but many things seem to be out of place. I've tried to find a solution to this but nothing seems to help. I tried restarting, nothing happened. I tried to create a second account but the same thing happened with it. It's like my pc can't recognize accounts at all. I tried renaming the profile extension through regedit (renaming the extension of my original account to .bak). It didn't work. I tried almost everything and nothings seems to help. I'm having my thoughts on whether it could actually be hardware related. Four days ago, I unplugged my PSU, my CPU and my two HDDs because I had to clean the case. I put them back in their proper slots afterwards, though. So, I'm not sure about that. What do you think? Please, I seriously need a suggestion.
Thanks in advance.
