Reformating a Linux Drive W/ 7?

Is there anyway to reformat a Linux partition on Windows 7? I know XP/Vista didnt recognize Linux Partitions as being a partition but 7 did as I was asked to select a partition to install on. Is there an easy way to reformat it without having to reinstall linux to uninstall back into NTFS?

Yeah. Disk management doesn't need to be able to read what is on the partition to format it. Just choose the partition. Format to NTFS.

I like Acronis Disc Director Suite for things like this but should not be necessary. Windows can do natively.

If I mount in an empty NTFS folder does that combine it with the current partition?

No, you need to use Acronis to merge the partitions. Use manual mode.

Ya, you're going to have problems since you were booting using LILO, GRUB or whatever other Linux boot loader you were using.

To fix, boot to Windows 7 DVD and run a startup repair. You want method 2 in System Recovery options.

Right now though, mark partition C active.
