After upgrade, only one core is seen

    Hi.
I upgraded from vista to windows 7. Its worked like a charm, but there are one problem.
I have a q6600 cpu(4 cores), and after the upgrade windows see just one core.
(In task manager(One Graph per cpu checked)/Resource Monitor)
In the Device Manager under Processors are listed 4 "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz" device.
I reinstalled the old drivers, removed them but no luck.

    Any advice?

Hello Benedicht, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Check the tutorial below to make sure that everything is unchecked in step 7 there.

Boot Advanced Options - Number of Processors - Vista Forums

If that does not help, then see if resetting the BIOS back to default settings will allow the CPU to be recognized properly afterwards.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
