Screenshot in Mangement Console and Partition Recovery Wizard

Is it possible to take a screenshot while using Management Console in command prompt of Startup Repair, or Partition Recovery Wizard from the Mini-Tool Partition Magic bootable disk? My computer will not boot due to a 0x490 boot error. Is a Windows 7 bootable file necessary to screenprint?

You could use a digital camera if available.

If you have no OS, you cannot make a screenshot.

Thanks Brink and WHS. I have used a camera but thought a screenshot would be easier.

It would be if you were running it in a virtual machine to be able to take a screenshot of the running VM. Otherwise a digital camera usually works well.

More here for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

A camera snap of PW drive map showing all listings and labels will help.

Thanks again Brink. I appreciate your quick response. The reputation button would not allow me to do again.

gregrocker: Thanks for the reply. What is meant by PW drive map? Is this the results of management console? I did find your posting "Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start" a few days ago. It helped me to understand the issue and the fix. I do not want to get into this here since my previous post "0X490 error, Boot sector for system disk partition is corrupt” covers that issue with my laptop. Can you look at my post? It provides all the info I have at this time.

Yes, the map is the Disk Mgmt layout while the listings are in the adjacent box and should show all the labels.

XP recovery console versus Vista/7's recovery console
It seems to me that XP's recovery console is somewhat better than the one that comes with Vista or 7, unless someone can point me in the right direction for finding further documentation on this topic. The main difference is the lack of ability to tinker with services (LISTSVC / ENABLE / DISABLE...
