If the navigation pane showed Documents, Pictures, Videos and Music would that not be the same as Libraries? What happened to Libraries in W10? They are redundant, that's why they no longer exist.

Libraries are merely a shortcut to the Main User Folders/Files.
You still don't "get" what libraries are. It was explained to you when you carped about them on 10 Forum.

I get it. I just generalized how most of us view them - as shortcuts.

    Change vs Progress

I grew up in a world when a computer filled a large room, now I carry a device in my pocket that gives me access to more knowledge than was accessible on all the computers available when I was in school, and it makes phone calls too.
I remember when our school got sent an Apple II (for a few days).

I'm not opposed to progress, as long as it actually is progress. :)

"Change for change's sake" isn't progress (it's marketing).

Some people on EightForums & TenForums think that square wheels would be a fantastic advance (i.e. progress).
After all, round wheel have been around for far too long.

Here, here! I'll drink to that reality!

And to add to this is the fact that many of us "men" have the same shoes and boots we bought 20 years ago. LOL We don't need to follow a trend. We need something reliable that works.

Thank you very much! I only embrace change when it benefits me. For example, I don't have a smart phone. Sure, the features are nice but that big monthly bill would more than offset the advantages of those features, especially since I'm on a so called fixed income.

I don't have any sort of mobile either. :)

When I tell people that, they look at me like I'm some sort of weirdo.

Oh, I have a cell phone but it's an antique Oystr that I carry around for emergencies. I turn it on only when I'm going to use it, which is rarely.

I am dual-booting Windows 7 and Windows 10 (latest build) on this desktop machine. I love Windows 7, have it set up to my tastes, and it will be on this computer for as long as it lasts. I like Windows 10, and no doubt that is what will be on my next rig, and I'll be fine with that. It runs just fine on this machine (including my 1999 copy of Quicken!), and I really have no substantive complaint about the UI. Except...

I really wish they'd bring back Aero Glass. I find it very pleasing. But oh well.
