    Help please Windows 7 Home..notification cusomize button not working


    I have lost the functionality of the cusomize button in the notification bar area..

    It show in a box, the icons of programs in this area but when I click on cusomize nothing happens. This is also true done from the start menu options.. It is as if the icon had lost its function..anyone help please.

    Hello Artinusa,

    As a test, see if you may be able to open "Notification Area Icons" using either shortcut location in Option Two in the tutorial below. :)

    Notification Area customize


    Hi Brink...Thanks that worked (method 2) and I have the icons availble to edit..any idea why the customize icon lost it function..can it be repaired..How

    Ok, good.

    Since this has just recently happened, you could do a system restore using a restore point dated before this happened to undo and fix it. :)
