Help please Windows 7 Home..notification cusomize button not working

I have lost the functionality of the cusomize button in the notification bar area..

It show in a box, the icons of programs in this area but when I click on cusomize nothing happens. This is also true done from the start menu options.. It is as if the icon had lost its function..anyone help please.

Hello Artinusa,

As a test, see if you may be able to open "Notification Area Icons" using either shortcut location in Option Two in the tutorial below.

Ok, good.

Since this has just recently happened, you could do a system restore using a restore point dated before this happened to undo and fix it.
