Some programs dispay Japanese not English

Hello everyone, not sure if this goes here.

I live in Japan and I'm from America. I have set my PC to view everything in English.

But, some programs that I have loaded will only display in Japanese. Mostly this are the programs from Asus.

I have sent several mails about this and have heard nothing from them. So I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it?

    Thanks,

Hello Zapps, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Do you have your Control Panel > Region and language > Location set to Japan? If so, change it to USA.

It is set to United States, also English is selected. When I was running the Beta version I did not have this problem. It is really troublesome.

    Thanks for the replay!!

Hope this works! It did for me.

Like you I've run into a similar problem and I think I found a solution. For one I'm using Windows 7, and while the fix may not be a similar issue I'm going to go ahead and explain this anyways.

    1. Go to "Control Panel"
    2. Go to "Region and Language"
    3. Go ahead and switch to the "Administrative Tab"
    4. Click the button "Change system Locale..."

Although I thought mine was set to English united states local everywhere... turns out it wasn't.

    5. click the drop down and select your preferred language and (Location)
    6. Hit "OK" and restart your computer when prompted.
[Now you may run a program and notice it's still in Japanese EHHH? You'll need to reinstall any conflicting programs that have this language issue.]
    7. So first uninstall the programs you still have issues with.
    8. Re-install and they should now be in your preferred language.

I hope this solves any issues of this nature, I had a similar problem and upon long inspection found this was an effective resolution to the oddity.
