    HP laptop freezing randomly

Hello I need your help with my laptop freezing up problem. My screen just freezes and nothing works, so I have to reboot it.

I have tried formating laptop to factory settings, I sent it to shop for help but all they thought it is was overheating. So they cleaned it up and applied new thermopaste, but first 1 hour at home and it froze 5 times....

I am typing this from phone cause using browsers is when it freezes mostly.

Try establishing a Clean Boot, check for infection, test System Files, monitor and if necessary resolve overheating, and then the other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

Keep in mind that the HP Factory install is the worst possible install of Win7 you can have, larded with bloatware and duplicate utilities that interfere with better versions built into Win7. That's why no tech enthusiast will run that install but instead does a Clean Reinstall Windows 7 sticking with the steps in blue link to get and keep a perfect install.

Short of that you can Clean Up Factory Bloatware to see if that relieves some of the problems, which are typical of factory install.

Had a issue with a HP laptop that locked up after various times. The laptop has a synaptics touchpad and it was somehow registering activation. I used the the graphic accessory from synaptics that showed a graph of touchpad inputs. Just something to look at.
