Windows 7 - After upgrade, only one core is seen

| | After upgrade, only one core is seen Hi. I upgraded from vista to windows 7. Its worked like a charm, but there are one problem. I have a q6600 cpu(4 cores), and after the upgrade windows see just one core. (In task manager(One Graph per cpu checked)/Resource Monitor) In the Device Manager under Processors are listed 4 "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz" device. I reinstalled the old drivers, removed them but no luck. Any advice? |

| | Hello Benedicht, and welcome to Seven Forums. Check the tutorial below to make sure that everything is unchecked in step 7 there. Boot Advanced Options - Number of Processors - Vista Forums If that does not help, then see if resetting the BIOS back to default settings will allow the CPU to be recognized properly afterwards.
