WIN7 login screen just has (Other User) available and I can't login?

Ok this morning I started up my computer and at the login screen the only option I had available to use to login was (Other User)? I normally have (my login) and (guest login). I'm using WIN7 64BIT it's a custom built computer I put together in 2011. I'm using three HD, OS 256GB SSD, FLTSIM 256 SSD, Storage 1TB. I last used the computer last night around 7:30pm and I had no issues. I've restarted three times but to no avial. Is there a fix for this??

Hello bankheadd, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if you may be able to do a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before you had this issue to hopefully undo and fix it.

Did you download any software the day before this problem started? Maybe it is a virus if so do a system restore

No, I did a normal shutdown and started up this morning and had the problem.

If System Restore doesn't help then make sure you have the correct hard drive or SSD booting first in BIOS. If necessary unplug the other drives to troubleshoot.

Did you say that it signed you into a temporary User account? If so next enable Built-in Administrator - Enable from WinRE - Windows 7 Forums to create a new Admin User account, see if it functions correctly and will run all of your programs. If so copy your files over and eventually delete the old account, hide again the Built-in Admin account.

To try to repair the failing account, you can also disinfect and run then SFC from boot as provided in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start

Ok, I can't log-on to my computer, so how will I download those files? Also I just checked in the bios and I still have the correct ssd drive selected as the boost drv with my OS on it.

Not sure it signed me in, I'm just presented with (OTHER USER) which I can't log-in to?

I also tried starting in SAFE MODE and START in last known good condition. No luck I get the same screen?

How about a system restore at boot?

If you can't access System Restore or Command Line in System Recovery Options via F8 Advanced Boot Options as shown in blue link then the solutions you've been given require using boot disks.

If you need the Win7 disk for your repairs it is provided in Step 6 of Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

You would need another PC to burn the ISO files provided to DVD or flash stick.

Ok I've found my disk and I tried to do system restore but when I get to the system restore menu, I have the following message (No restore points have been created on your computer. To create a restore point open SYSTEM PROTECTION, when I click the tab another screen pops up stating my computer is in a diagnostic state and I will not be able to undo the restore operation. I click the tab and noting happens. I'm back on the Restore system files and settings pg? and the only tab available is just the cancel tab??
